NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Seton Hall track & field squads returned to action on Saturday and sent six athletes to the BIG EAST Indoor Championships at the Yale Invitational on Saturday.
Sophomore Sean Schnarr (Somerset, N.J.) ran the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.31 to earn a spot at the BIG EAST Championships.
Junior Nick Frimpong (East Hartford, Conn.) hit a mark of 1.96 meters in the high jump for a berth at the conference championships.
Senior Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) and freshman Ivanique Kemp (Nassau, Bahamas) both hit BIG EAST standard times in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.66 and 7.67, respectively. Kemp also improved her BIG EAST qualifying time by .28 seconds with a time of 8.63 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Freshman Nijgia Snapp ran the 400-meter dash in 57.25 to qualify for the BIG EAST Championships.
Junior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) posted a 57.06 in another heat of the 400-meter dash to punch a ticket to the BIG EAST's after earning a spot in the 500-meter dash last month.
The Pirates return to the track next Saturday, January 16, at the Penn State Invitational.
