Student-Athletes Participate in DOVE Easter Basket Drive

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Several Seton Hall University athletic teams sprang into action and joined DOVE's Easter Basket Drive in preparation for the upcoming holiday.
The student-athletes put together baskets that contained a wide assortment of components, ranging anywhere from typical Easter candies such as peanut butter eggs and jellybeans, to Barbie herself in the Easter spirit.
"A basket drive such as this is a great way for Seton Hall athletes to involve themselves in the community, extending a helping hand without necessarily leaving campus," said Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President Brittany Hammer. "This small event presents a great opportunity for us to help South Orange, as well as the other surrounding communities, celebrate an ever-festive holiday."
The student-athletes prepared and decorated these baskets for families who may be in need in communities near the university's campus. The baskets will be delivered to families shortly before Easter weekend.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee looks forward to coordinating several upcoming events as well, including the annual Mary Jennings Softball Tournament, taking place Saturday, April 14.
