PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) turned in a first place finish and ran a time of 57.04 in the finals of the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Seton Hall track and field teams at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships over the weekend. As a team, the women finished 15th, while the men took 21st place.
Senior Krista Simkins (Wissahicken, Pa.) placed third in the 200-meter dash, completing the half-lap in 23.76.
Senior Louise Faye (Thiais, France) was the third place finisher in the triple jump after an attempt of 12.42 meters.
For the men, junior Chris Cox (Manahawkin, N.J.) ran a time of 46.98 in the 400-meter dash to take home third place.
The men's 4x400-meter squad captured second place with a performance of 3:07.51.
Junior Nick Frimpong (East Harftord, Conn.) placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.91 meters.
The Pirates will await to see if any of their athletes rank in the top-32 in the region to see if they will continue competition at the NCAA Regionals, beginning on May 27 in Greensboro, N.C.
