Men's and Women's 4x400-Meter Relays Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships


GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Seton Hall men's and women's 4x400-meter relay teams both posted NCAA Outdoor Championship qualifiying times at the NCAA East Regionals on Saturday. Both relays along with Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) in the 400-meter hurdles will begin competition on June 9 in Eugene, Oregon.
The men's team comprised of Antonio Reynolds (Orlando, Fla.), Carl Smith (Camden, N.J.), Kamar Ellis (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Christopher Cox (Manahawkin, N.J.) held the 10th fastest time in the preliminaries after completing the four laps in 3:06.90.
The women's quartet of Krista Simkins (Wissahicken, Pa.), Toneisha Friday (Somerset, N.J.), Louise Faye (Thiais, France), and Nijgia Snapp (Mays Landing, N.J.) posted a time of 3:37.79 for the 13th quickest time.
Hayes also ran in the semifinals of the 200-meter dash, but fell just .27 seconds shy of reaching the final qualifying spot.
