SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall University Athletics, in conjunction with Learfield Sports, has developed Seton Hall Sports Properties as its exclusive corporate sponsorship sales division. This dedicated unit is designed to support Seton Hall Athletics' initiative to enhance the service provided to local and regional businesses and further promote the Pirates' brand affinity to the corporate community.
"The development of Seton Hall Sport Properties strengthens our brand by establishing a highly focused effort in taking our product to the market with a proven partner," said Director of Athletics Patrick Lyons. "Learfield Sports is a trusted leader in the industry with a reputation of implementing innovative promotional campaigns, customized programming, and new asset offerings to corporations that affiliate with its partners. We look forward to the further integration of Seton Hall Sports Properties and its future growth."
Leading Seton Hall Sports Properties is General Manager Danny Smith, who has served nearly two years in this role with Nelligan Sports Marketing, which was acquired by Learfield in early February. Other associates are Account Executive Andrew Papaefthemiou and Marketing Coordinator Bill Hoermann. The Seton Hall Sports Properties staff will continue to office on campus, which allows for a close working relationship with the entire Seton Hall Athletics administration. Seton Hall Sports Properties manages all aspects of the Pirates' multimedia rights including venue signage, event sponsorships/marketing, corporate hospitality, radio game broadcasts and coaches' shows, television and digital sponsorships, including the official athletic website, SHUPirates.com.
"We're fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Seton Hall Athletics and will strive to be terrific partners and representatives by providing exceptional service to the corporate community to enhance the growth of the university brand. We're excited to be off and running and look forward to building on the outstanding traditions already established here," said Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown.
In addition to its core business of nearly 100 collegiate multimedia rights properties which consist of institutional, conference and facility level partnerships, Learfield Sports is involved with collegiate ticketing and concessions, and titles the prestigious Learfield Sports Directors' Cup that annually awards top-performing athletic programs. Its multimedia rights encompass numerous content distribution platforms to deliver the passion of college athletics to fans globally.
