Aug 21, 2013

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall University Department of Athletics is excited to announce it will broadcast nearly 30 live home events this fall on the Pirate Sports Network, now available on more platforms than ever thanks to the Pirates' new digital content partnership with the CBSSports.com College Network.

The Pirate Sports Network is the home for SHU men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball action, and will provide live game coverage as the Pirates take on some of the best teams from around the country and compete in the revamped BIG EAST Conference. This year's fall schedule will include 10 men's soccer games, 10 volleyball matches and nine women's soccer contests.

Pirate Sports Network Extras will continue to add expanded postgame coverage, including highlight packages of home events and postgame interviews and analysis from Seton Hall's student-athletes and coaches.

Additionally all live events will now be auto archived and available on demand at the conclusion of competition and viewers will have the DVR capability to scan back and rewatch any part of the broadcast as it happens.

There are two options for fans to connect and gain the best access to Seton Hall's multimedia sports content. Pirate Sports Network subscribers may choose an annual package for $79.95, which will offer live broadcasts for all three sports seasons, or a monthly subscription for $9.95. For the first time ever all live events broadcast on the Pirate Sports Network will be available on mobile platforms, including iPhone, iPad and Android devices. By downloading the brand new SHUPirates.com mobile app, Seton Hall fans will have the ability to catch live action available on the Pirate Sports Network in addition to accessing all of the content available on shupirates.com

When using the iPhone or iPad app, an upgrade to access live audio and video is available annually for $19.99 or monthly for $4.99. The Android up can be upgraded to include live audio and video for $9.99.

The season debut will take place on Friday, Aug. 23, as the Seton Hall women's soccer team takes on Stony Brook in its home opener at Owen T. Carroll Field at 7 p.m.
