SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - On Saturday, October 4 during Seton Hall Weekend, the Seton Hall baseball team will once again partner with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Starting at 1p.m., the baseball team will play its annual Blue and White scrimmage at Owen T. Carroll Field. The scrimmage is open to the public and admission to the event is free of charge. Following the intrasquad game, players, coaches and other members of the Seton Hall community will be shaving their heads to show support for the many children currently battling pediatric cancer.
Throughout the event there will be an opportunity to donate to this great cause, and bracelets and t-shirts will be available for purchase with all proceeds being donated to the fight against childhood cancer.
Seton Hall is also pleased to announce that Chase Jones, CEO and founder of the Vs. Cancer Foundation, will be joining us for the events throughout the day. Chase is a stage IV brain cancer survivor himself, and has teamed up with foundations such as the Ronald McDonald House and LIVESTRONG in the fight against cancer.
