Seton Hall Athletics Announces Five New Additions, Six Promotions


 

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall athletics department officially announced the hiring of the following staff members on October 11:

Margeritte Abdelkodoos has been named Assistant Athletic Trainer.  Abdelkodoos was most recently an assistant athletic trainer at Lafayette College where she was responsible for assisting the men's basketball, football, baseball, and field hockey programs.  She received a Master's Degree in athletic training from Seton Hall from 2008, graduating with honors, and earned a Bachelor's in biomedical engineering from Stevens Tech in 2006.  

Bridgette Cahill has been named Assistant Director of Athletics / Compliance.  Cahill joins Seton Hall Athletics after serving a year and a half as Temple University's Compliance and Student Services Graduate Extern.  A 2006 graduate of Brown University, she has extensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and will assist the coordination of all compliance related issues.

Vincent Novicki has been named Assistant Director of Athletics Communications.  This is Novicki's second stint working in Seton Hall's office of athletics communications, as he served as the office's intern during the 2005-06 academic year.  Novicki, a 2005 Seton Hall graduate, rejoins the Pirates after serving the last four years as Assistant Sports Information Director at Washington University in St. Louis.

Kelly O'Neil has been named Associate Director, Athletics Marketing.  O'Neil has developed an extensive amount of athletics administration experience in a short period of time.  A 2008 graduate of Holy Cross, she has coached, taught and served as an administrator at several education levels.  Most recently, O'Neil assisted in daily operations and coordinated all team travel for Iona College Athletics.

Ryan Westman has been named Academic Advisor.  Westman comes to Seton Hall after serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Student Life office at Rutgers University, his alma mater.  A former BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree as a member of the Scarlet Knight's Track & Field squad, he has extensive experience serving as a tutor and academic coach while earning two Master's degrees from Rutgers.

Current Seton Hall Athletics administrators who received promotions include:  Melanie Calderwood to Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development & Special Projects, Amanda DiDonato to Associate Director of Academic Support Services, Bryan Felt to Associate Director of Athletics / Development, Kim Keenan-Kirkpatrick to Senior Associate Director of Athletics / SWA for Compliance & Student-Athlete Development, Mike Kowalsky to Associate Director of Athletics Communications, and Jim Semerad to Director of Ticket Operations.
