Track & Field Sends Four Runners to Postseason at Seton Hall Games



SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall track and field team ran its second meet of the indoor season on Sunday and sent five more runners to the postseason in six events.


Sophomore Charisse Bryant (Virginia Beach, Va.) became the first athlete to earn a spot in the ECAC Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles after running an 8.77 in the preliminary heat.


Freshman Ivanique Kemp (Nassau, Bahamas) turned in a time of 8.91 in the same event to earn her place at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships. Kemp also ran a BIG EAST qualifying time in the 60-meter dash, hitting a 7.73 in both the preliminary and final runs of the race.


Junior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) clinched a berth at the BIG EAST's in the 500-meter dash, clocking in at 1:16.65 in the prelims.


Freshman Nigjia Snapp (Mays Landing, N.J.) broke the meet record in the 1,000-meter run while earning her first conference postseason position, running a 2:58.42.


The Pirates will return to action on January 9 at the Yale Invitational.
