Pirate's Cove Returns to The Rock on December 19
The Pirate's Cove, an interactive kids area at Seton Hall basketball games at Prudential Center, makes its 2009 season debut with a number of new bells and whistles for fans of all ages when both the men's and women's teams have a unique doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, December 19th.
The day starts when the women's basketball team faces Saint Peter's College at 4 p.m. followed by the undefeated (8-0) men's team battling Temple at 7 p.m. The Cove opens at 3 p.m. when the gates open at Prudential Center and will feature two wide screen televisions where youngsters will be able to play NCAA Basketball video games in huge Pirate recliners. A new video area will feature basketball highlights and Seton Hall will auction off two front row seats to the upcoming West Virginia home game. The Cove will be open for all BIG EAST home games this year.
The old favorites also return to entertain younger fans at pre-game and half-time of both games. Ben "The Pirate" Balloon Twister will be making his free swords, hats and parrots while fans will also be able to have a Pirate mustache or tattoo drawn to show their supports for the teams. The Pirate Mascot will also be on the main concourse to have his picture taken with Pirate fans young and old.
The Pirate's Cove will be open for all men's home games for the rest of the 2009-2010 season.
