Alex Keddie was named the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in November 2015 and is responsible for overseeing the compliance efforts of the athletics department, which includes creating policies and procedures to ensure institutional control and rules education for all members of the department.
Keddie arrived in South Orange after over three years at East Carolina, first as a compliance graduate assistant (Aug. 2012-Jan. 2014) and then as the compliance coordinator (Feb. 2014-Nov. 2015). At ECU, she provided rules education, coordinated all aspects of the admissions and the eligibility certification process, oversaw student-athlete promotional and community service activities as well as student-athlete employment and was responsible for all roster maintenance.
Specifically related to admissions and eligibility, Keddie implemented efficient procedures to allow for a smooth student-athlete full certification process, oversaw freshmen initial eligibility and admissions projections and transfer documentation and certification, and communicated with the NCAA Eligibility Center on all issues related to academic initial eligibility and amateur status.
Keddie is a graduate of Saint Peter's University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management in 2012. She was a women's soccer student-athlete for the Peacocks, appearing in 51 games. Before moving on to East Carolina, she got her start in compliance at Saint Peter's as a student intern, monitoring practicing logs, auditing phone calls, processing National Letter of Intent requests and creating monthly compliance newsletters.
Keddie also holds a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina.
