Bobby Mullen became a Pirate in July of 2015 as the Associate Director of Athletics Communications for Seton Hall University. Prior to coming to Seton Hall, Mullen served as an Athletic Communications Assistant for the University of Connecticut and Northeastern.
While at Connecticut, Mullen served as the primary media contact for women's soccer, women's ice hockey, and baseball as well as the secondary contact for the Husky football team, He was responsible for coordinating media requests, writing press releases, designing and distributing game notes, and managing the social media efforts for multiple Connecticut athletic teams.
Prior to his time at UConn, Mullen worked in the Athletic Communications office at his alma mater, Northeastern University. In two years as a student worker and another as an intern, Mullen was the primary media contact for the NU women's soccer and women's basketball programs.
Mullen also has served as on-air talent for games streamed on local television with GoNUxstream Video Production, as he commentated for men's basketball, women's hockey, baseball games and highlight packages during web broadcasts.
Mullen's responsibilities include handling all publicity for Seton Hall's women's basketball, men's soccer, and softball programs, overseeing digital initiatives such as the Pirate Sports Network and coordinating the athletics communications internship and work study programs. Additionally, he produces online and print publications and media packets for assigned sports, creates graphics for online, print and broadcast use, and is responsible for statistical and historical record keeping and maintenance.
