Our Season Ticket Holders are #HALLin

We have a tremendous group of loyal Seton Hall supporters in our men's basketball season ticket holders. This past spring we thought a lot about how to celebrate the commitment they have made to Seton Hall Athletics, and I think we came up with a terrific idea This year, we had a contest: submit to us a photo of you displaying Pirate Pride for inclusion in our season ticket booklet.

The results were fantastic! We received some really great photos from our season ticket holders, and we are so proud to have them on our season ticket booklet. They are truly #HALLin with the Pirates! If you'd like to see all the pictures that made our booklet, click here.

There's still time to become a season ticket holder. Seats start at only $153 for the men and $45 for the women, and season ticket holders receive the best seats, get priority access to BIG EAST Tournament tickets, receive special invitations to private events and also get access to other events at Prudential Center such as concerts and Devils games.

Be sure to contact the Seton Hall Athletics Ticket office at (973) 275-HALL to discuss your season ticket options.

Our Student-Athletes are Doing Amazing Things in the Community

On Thursday, Oct. 22, student-athletes from our baseball, swimming & diving and softball teams participated in a joint partnership with South Mountain Elementary School and the YMCA as part of their "Healthy U" initiative. Our student-athletes participated in afterschool activities with South Mountain students that helped promote physical activity and create an environment of healthy living. Our student-athletes had a great time interacting with the children, and we hope that it made a positive impact not only that day but going forward as we continue to fight against childhood obesity.

On Friday, Oct. 30, our men's basketball team visited Saint Barnabas Medical Center to pass out candy in the pediatric ward and participate in the pediatric Halloween parade. Visiting children at the hospital is a very humbling and rewarding experience, and I'm proud that our guys made the most of their time there.

Be on the lookout next week for some video footage of the guys singing a special song to one of the patients.

Every year our baseball team shaves their heads to promote the fight against pediatric cancer. In fact, our student-athletes were pioneers in this endeavor, and their participation has led to hundreds of teams participating. This year, that event took place on Oct. 3, and then the team went to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center on Oct. 9 to meet some children in the pediatric ward, spreading cheer and interacting with the young patients. We are so proud that our team is so committed to making a difference in their lives.

Through a partnership with Team IMPACT, our softball team has signed two new recruits that we're excited to have: Amelia and Julia signed NLIs to become Pirates. When Amelia was three years old, she had kidney failure due to Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). Amelia has had to overcome a lot, but today she stands strong with her new Seton Hall teammates. We're very proud of our team for welcoming Amelia and Julia with open arms.

Thank You Seniors

As we transition from the fall season to the winter season, I want to thank all the seniors from the men's & women's soccer, volleyball and men's & women's cross country teams for all the hard work they have put in during their time at Seton Hall. It's always difficult seeing seniors compete on the field for a final time, but we are very proud that it's actually just the beginning for these student-athletes. Their time as Pirates has prepared them to go on and do great things in life. I look forward to celebrating with our seniors again at our annual Senior Banquet in May.
