Pirates take part in program that combines running with character building
2013: Competed in a total of six meets during her debut season...Posted a 41st-place finish at the 4K St. John's-Hofstra Fall Festival with a time of 18:34.26 (9/7)...Clocked a season-best 6K time of 27:47.55 at the Delaware Invitational (9/14)...Finished in the top-40 with a 5K mark of 24:34.80 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational (9/21)...Recorded a final time of 24:11.30 at the 5K Metropolitan Championships (10/11)...Crossed the line at the 28:05.93 mark at the Leopard Invitational (6K, 10/19)...Closed the fall with a season-best 5K time of 23:49.50 at the ECAC Championships (11/23)
High School/Personal: Local product from Morris Plains who competed for four years on the track and in cross country at Morristown High School...Was twice elected a captain of both the cross country and track squads...Named MHS cross country Rookie of the Year after helping the team to a second-place finish at the Morris County Championships and state sectionals meet in 2009, followed by a third-place effort at sectionals in 2010...Received All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2011 after Morristown placed first at the sectional and group level to advance to the NJSIAA Meet of Champions where the team placed 11th...Registered a career-best 5K time of 21:05 in 2012...National Honor Society member...Born Jul. 7, 1995.
