PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) continued her late season charge for the Seton Hall women's cross country team on Friday at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Princeton on Friday; recording her third consecutive team-leading time.
Britten was part of a Pirates squad that placed 27th overall (800). Penn State (60) edged Georgetown (75) for the team title.
The Crystal Lake native, who has placed among The Hall's top-three finishers in all seven events during her debut campaign, finished the 6K course in 23:22.2 to take 108th place in the field of 200.
Junior Desyre Blackburn (Aloha, Ore.) was next across the line with a time of 24:17.3 (149). Blackburn - who owns a team-best time at October's Metropolitan Championships - has finished outside the Pirates' top-three just once this season.
Sophomore Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) claimed the third spot in the team rankings on Friday, delivering a time of 25:06.1. Johnson's return to action after being sidelined for most of her rookie season has been a successful one as the Wildwood Crest product has scored in every meet this fall.
Senior Amanda Quaglia (Reading, Pa.) placed fourth on the team with a time of 25:32.6 while Bri Miller (Bayonne, N.J.) added her second scoring time in the last three meets with a final mark of 26:30.3.
The Hall will wrap up the fall cross country season at next week's ECAC Championships in the Bronx at Van Cortlandt Park. The ECAC event is scheduled to be held in conjunction with the IC4A Championships and the Pirates will compete in the university division when competition gets underway on Saturday, November 21.
